OUR PROCESS

Well Organized. Seamless Execution.

Design projects are complicated with a lot of moving parts. A detailed process is key to our success - from staying organized, to communicating with all stakeholders, to completing your project on time and on budget.

PHASE ONE | DISCOVER

This phase is all about getting to know you and your space. All of the learning and details gathered in this phase will drive the design process.

  • Discovery Call - a complimentary 20-minute call with Catherine to discuss your project.

  • The Consultation - a paid 2-hour in-person project meeting to kick-off your design project.

  • Proposal and Contract - Following the Consultation, we will provide you with a quote for Phase 2 Design Fees, the Phase 2 Contract, and a detailed Scope of Work for your project.

PHASE TWO | DESIGN

Before we get started on the design, we will organize a Trade Day with the contractor(s) and relevant trades to discuss the project requirements and troubleshoot ideas before the design starts. Then most of the magic will happen behind the scenes while we work on the design plan over a period of 6-9 weeks. During this phase, we will have 2 key design meetings with you:

  • Design Concept - a virtual presentation of the design concept, mood board, floor plan and preliminary budget.

  • Design Presentation - a complete design presentation, including floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, as well as samples of finishes and fabrics, and a detailed budget. We believe in designing everything upfront (from faucets to fabrics) so that all decisions are made together and to ensure a seamless implementation.

  • After the Design Presentation, one round of revisions is included in the Design Fee, in order to finalize the Design Plan. Once the Design Plan is approved, we move into Phase 3: Implementation.

PHASE THREE | IMPLEMENT

Now that the Design Plan is approved, it is time to make it a reality. This phase includes construction or other trades' work (electrical, painting), ordering and shipments of finishes and furnishings, product installation, and styling - all leading to the reveal of the fully finished space.

  • Product Ordering and Shipments - of all fixtures and finishes, and then furnishings and accessories, managing lead times, supply and coordinating delivery.

  • Construction - site visits and overseeing the overall design execution

  • Installation Day - the final push when all the elements come together, art is hung and pillows are fluffed.

  • The Reveal - Your "HGTV" moment to see your space complete and beautifully styled. Professional photography of the space is arranged.

  • Project Closeout - The project is wrapped up with a deficiencies inspection, final billing, and delivery of the client project binder.
